Israel has passed a message to Syria that it would withdraw
from the Golan Heights in return for peace, according to a

diarist Anne Frank has been found in an antiques shop near
Amsterdam. The card was sent in 1937, when Frank was
eight, and was addressed to one of her best friends, Sanne

COUNTING THE OMER TO SHAVUOT
Shavuot, also spelled Shavuos
(Hebrew: שבועות ) "[Feast of] Weeks"), is a Jewish holiday
that occurs on the sixth day of the Hebrew month of Sivan
(corresponding to late May or early June). This year it will
begin on June 8 at sundown. It marks the conclusion of the
Counting of the Omer and the day the Torah was given at Mount
Sinai. It is one of the three Biblical pilgrimage festivals
(shalosh regalim) mandated by the Torah. MORE>

Shalom, Congregation Mishkan Tephilo and Kehillat Maarav in
observance of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day on last
week The commemoration took place at the Adat Shalom in
Westwood, where 93-year-old holocaust survivor, Anni
Lampl, was the keynote speaker.
