STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The
Jewish Observer was established in August 1999 in Encino,
California. The paper was created to serve as a forum for
news information and exchange to assist in the remembrance of
Jewish festivals, observances and holidays. Jewish community
issues are intertwined with The Jewish Observer and
its future success. The company's aim is to provide
investigative news, examine various Jewish cultures, and
penetrate Jewish news in a way that provides current news and
information while uniting the Jewish community. It is
committed to being a neighbor of choice.
It is a Los Angeles
area Jewish community newspaper which gathers its information
from personal interviews, other pre-approved broadcast media,
Jewish organizations, and other sources to assist in reporting
Jewish news through its history, culture, economics, politics,
and social life. The paper’s pre-approved archival footage of
video-taped interviews, video documentaries, documents,
pictures and press releases are a few of the types of sources
which validate its news integrity, authenticity and
objectivity in reporting Jewish news.
The
paper’s objective is to build bridges among Jewry’s various
cultures and religious groups living in and around Los Angeles
among all age groups. Join it in discovering the vast
Jewish heritage and culture through the Jewish people, some of
whom are walking stories from the unspeakable shadows of death
to the triumph of Jewish survival. Help it compile
Jewry’s experiences, culture and differences as it explores
and uncovers the mystery, the hardship, the heroism, and the
faith through this venture, The Jewish
Observer.
The Jewish Observer aims to be a Los
Angeles paper wherein all Jewry, regardless of
nationality and/or religious faction, has input in today’s
news, how it is reported and what is
disseminated. |
